Advanced Open Water Course

Exploration, Excitement, Experience, Adrenaline Rush, Enjoyment, Achievement. To what depths do you want to take your adventure? No matter what your goal, the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course gives you the confidence, skills and experience for a whole new level of underwater exploration. You don't have to be 'advanced' to take it - it's designed so you can go straight into it after the PADI Open Water Diver course. The Advanced Open Water Course helps you increase your confidence and build on the skills, expertise and knowledge you have already acquired in the Open Water Course, so you can become more comfortable in the water. It allows you to explore special diving interests through chosen specialties, and you will gain further valuable diving experience under the control and guidance of our PADI qualified instructors. It is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn.

The PADI manual, 'Adventures in Diving' (supplied), will guide you through the different options available to complete the course.

This course builds on what you've already learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun Scuba Diving. You'll hone your skills by completing five adventure dives that introduce you to:

  • Underwater Navigation
  • Deep Water Diving - (typically anywhere from 18-30 metres/ 60-100 feet)
  • PLUS - Choose 3 more Adventure Dives of your choice

The Fun Part: Your Choice

One reason you'll love the Advanced Open Water Diver course is that you along with the assistance of our PADI qualified instructors will choose 3 dives from 15 types of Adventure Dives to complete the Dive requirements of your course. You can try your hand at Wreck Diving, Night Diving, Peak Performance Buoyancy, AWARE - Fish Identification and much more.

  • Get credit! Each Adventure Dive in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course may be credited toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver Course which in turn can be credited towards your Master Scuba Diver Rating (the highest non-professional PADI Dive qualification).
