Aware Coral Reef Conservation

Our AWARE - Coral reef conservation specialty course teaches divers, snorkellers and non-divers about the vital role of coral reefs in the marine environment, and how these ecosystems are currently threatened. The course will familiarise participants with the current state of the world's coral reefs and explain how individuals can help protect the living reef from further decline.

This is a non-diving course that only contains classroom presentations. To enrol in the AWARE – coral reef conservation specialty course, participants need only have an interest in the aquatic world. No diving or snorkelling experience is necessary. Certification counts towards the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.
