Deep Diver
After your first few scuba dives, you soon want to explore a bit deeper. There's something exciting and mysterious about the hidden depths of the ocean that attracts divers. The goal of our Deep Diver course is to familiarise divers with the skills, knowledge, planning procedures, and techniques they will use when planning deep dives, as well as educating them about the problems and hazards that they will experience when diving between a depth of 18 metres and 40 metres. Diving to a depth is both exhilarating and exciting.
The course is intended to serve as a safe, supervised introduction to deeper diving within the limits of recreational Scuba. Deep Diver training will develop your theoretical knowledge and enable you to plan, organise and make no-decompression dives. Many shipwrecks are often found in deeper water. That's why the PADI Deep Diver course is a natural companion to the PADI Wreck Diver course. Sometimes you can take these two specialties concurrently.

Course Requirements:
* Complete Scuba unit including alternate air source and gauges
* Computer or timing device
* Dive knife
* Safety Sausage
* PADI RDP tables
* Mask, snorkel, fins, boots, gloves, wetsuit
* Weight belt and weights
* Underwater slate and pencil
* Compass
* Logbook with logged dive experience
* 2 passport style photographs
* Diving torch
Course content:
* 3 evenings of theory and 4 boat dives
The course is run over 2 weekends and we dive out of Queenscliff, Portland and other locations as necessary. ALL divers are responsible for their own transportation/accommodation and meals.
Some self-study is required and once your deposit is paid you will be issued with your Deep Diver manual to read and complete the exercises prior to the first theory session.
