Rescue Diver
Do you know what to do in a Diver emergency?
'Challenging' and 'rewarding' best describes the PADI Rescue Diver course. Building upon what you've already learned, this course expands on what you already know about how to prevent problems, and how to manage them if they occur. Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers.
Although this course is challenging, it is a rewarding way to build your confidence. There are several good reasons for wanting to become a PADI rescue dive - It expands your diving knowledge, increases your level of diving skill, and makes you more aware of what is happening around you. Rescue diver certification is an important prerequisite for the PADI Divemaster rating, and the distinguished PADI Master Scuba diver certification.
Most importantly, rescue diver training can help you save lives and increase diving safety by preparing you to respond properly to diving emergencies and near emergencies. Our head PADI qualified instructor used her rescue diver skills working as a volunteer search, rescue & recovery diver after the Tsunami on Phi Phi Island in Thailand in 2005. Most Divers who complete this level of training will tell you it was the most rewarding of all the courses they have taken.
